Landmann committed to helping children
Deutscher Kinderschutzbund (German Child Protection Organisation)
Landmann
is a family owned, mid-sized enterprise with a long tradition. We are aware
of
our social responsibility to our staff, business partners and society as a
whole.
Besides
sustainable development of the company, this means becoming actively involved
in social matters.
In particular, we would like to help to improve the living conditions for children in our society. For this reason, Landmann has entered into a cooperation with Deutscher Kinderschutzbund (DKSB).

Deutscher Kinderschutzbund dedicates itself in a diversified and professional way for children's concerns. Activities range from violence prevention and fighting child poverty through to practical care and support for children and parents on site. Currently Kinderschutzbund has some 50,000 individual members who form the basis of the largest child protection organisation in Germany.
Blauer Elefant (Blue Elephant)
One of DKSB's special facilities are its "BLAUER ELEFANT" children's houses.
This seal of quality is awarded to children's houses which fulfil special quality requirements and combine a variety of offerings under a single roof. They include advisory, care and leisure activities for children and families.
Landmann supports BLAUER ELEFANT with donations in kind and targeted on-site activities.
For
example, Landmann will support the 30th anniversary of the BLAUER ELEFANT
children’s house in Westerstede on 17th June 2011 with a huge barbecue
festival.
We are looking forward to this event and will report on it in this
column.
